This is the level in this range that publishes an accuracy figure, and that is the specification worth reading: 0.5mm per metre.
It is worth understanding what that number means, because most levels are sold without one at all. It says that over a metre of length, the level will report a surface as level when it is in fact within half a millimetre of level. That is a real, checkable, engineering statement rather than a claim — and it lets you work out what a job will inherit. Over a three metre run of kitchen units, half a millimetre per metre is one and a half millimetres of possible fall; over a ten metre wall plate it is five. For most building and installation work that is comfortably good enough, and knowing the figure means you can decide rather than hope.
The frame is heavy duty aluminium at 1.5mm wall thickness. Thickness is what stops a level flexing, and a level that flexes reads its own bend rather than the surface — which is why a cheap thin-walled level of the same length can be measurably worse than its vials suggest.
Three vials cover 90, 180 and 45 degrees, and anti-shock end caps protect the two most vulnerable points on any level. Levels are almost always damaged at the ends, because that is what hits the floor first, and the shock travels straight into the vial housings. End caps absorb it.
Four hundred millimetres is the compact size in this accuracy-rated line: right for cabinets and appliances, brackets and rails, short pipe runs, machinery feet, and work inside confined spaces.
It is magnetic, so it holds itself to steel sections, pipe, duct and machine frames and leaves both hands free.
The buyers are kitchen and shopfitting installers, machinery and equipment installers, plumbers and HVAC technicians, electricians, cabinet makers, and hardware dealers supplying installation trades.
Two habits. Remember that any level reads only the length it sits on — 400mm tells you about 400mm, so use a longer level for a long run. And check it end for end: read a surface, reverse the level in the same place, and the bubble must read the same both ways. Do that whenever it has been dropped, because a shifted vial does not look like anything at all. Message us on WhatsApp for a price.
