That distinction matters more than it sounds. The other feeler set in this range quotes sizes like 0.051, 0.076 and 0.127mm, which are exact conversions of two, three and five thousandths of an inch — an imperial set in metric clothing, and the right one for older engines and machinery whose manuals specify clearances in thousandths.
