Overall length is not usable hole depth. Part of the shank lives inside the chuck, and beyond that the flutes have to keep carrying dust up and out of the hole, so the practical working depth is meaningfully less than the number on the label. At 110mm you are drilling shallow fixings. At 160mm you are drilling through something.

That distinction matters here more than in most countries, because of how walls are built. A great deal of construction in Sri Lanka is block or brick with a render coat over it, and a fixing that only engages the render is a fixing that will pull out with the weight of whatever it is holding. Render can be fifteen or twenty millimetres thick, sometimes more where a wall has been made good. A short bit can use up most of its depth before it has properly entered the block behind. The longer bit lets you get past the render and set the plug in solid material, which is where it actually holds.

The same length also covers fixing through a batten, a bracket plate, a timber frame or an insulation layer into the masonry behind, where the fixing has to travel through something before it starts.
