If you own a 115mm or 125mm grinder bought in recent years, this is almost certainly the one you need. M10x1.5 exists on smaller and older machines and we list that version separately. If you are not certain, the simplest check is to look at the spindle with the disc removed, or at the specification plate on the machine body, which normally states the spindle thread. Failing both, take a photograph of the spindle and send it to us and we will tell you.

Since this is the brush most people will end up buying, it is worth spending the space on how to use one properly, because technique changes results more than the brush does.

Let the tips do the work. A wire brush cleans with the ends of its filaments, not with their sides, so it should be presented lightly to the surface and moved steadily. Pressing hard bends the wires over so they lie along the work, which cleans less, wears the brush out quickly and generates a great deal of heat. A brush that is throwing wires everywhere and going bald in an hour is almost always being pressed too hard.

Work with an edge rather than into it. If the brush meets an edge, a corner, a bolt head or a lip head on, it snatches, and a grinder that snatches comes out of your hands. Approach so that the rotation carries the brush off the edge, not into it.

And keep the guard on. It is there for the wires as much as for anything else.
