For a home, a shop, a small office, a caretaker or a maintenance man who does not know at the start of the day whether the next hole will be in a wall, a door or a bracket, that is exactly right, and having the correct type of bit for each material is far better than the usual alternative, which is forcing one type through all three and destroying it.

The honest limitation is the flip side of the same thing. Three materials inside sixteen pieces means each family gets only five or six sizes, so none of the three ranges is complete.
