Alternator and starter motor fixings, engine mounts, exhaust manifold and downpipe fasteners, propshaft and drivetrain brackets, seatbelt anchors, and a great many body and subframe bolts all run 13mm. Between 10mm and 13mm you can get at a large proportion of a vehicle.

What the T-handle format gives you here is continuous turning in places with no swing room. A ratchet needs an arc; a T-bar needs only enough space for the shaft, so it works down the back of an engine, along a chassis rail or above a gearbox where a ratchet handle simply cannot move. And because the socket end grips all six flats, it holds where a spanner would slip — which matters on the corroded exhaust and underbody fasteners this size tends to be used on.

Forged chrome vanadium, heat treated, chrome plated. Forging keeps the socket end from opening under load, and a socket that has spread is what rounds a fastener. The chrome finish resists the rust that gets into every toolbox in this climate and wipes clean of oil and grease.

A practical caution. 13mm fasteners underneath a vehicle are the ones most likely to be seized, and a T-bar is not a breaking tool — leaning on one end of the cross bar twists the shaft and loads one corner of the head. Free it with a socket on a breaker bar, or with penetrating oil and patience, then use the T-handle for the speed of running it out.
