Air Blow Gun (300mm)

The inlet is where a blow gun fails. It is a threaded joint that gets a quick coupler screwed into it, and it takes the whole leverage of a hose being dragged sideways across a workshop floor all day. On a gun where that thread is cut straight into the body casting, the thread eventually strips or the joint starts to weep — and a blow gun that hisses continuously wastes compressed air every minute the compressor is running, which is a real cost over a year.

A brass insert solves both problems. Brass takes and holds a thread far better than a soft body casting, it seals well against a steel coupler, and it does not corrode where moisture from the air line collects. If a gun is going to be in daily use rather than occasional, this is the version worth having.

The rest is the same: a 300mm cast stainless steel tube for reach into wheel arches, engine bays, machine guards, ducts and radiator cores, and a high mechanical strength handle for a tool that gets dropped.

Compressed air safety applies in full and is worth stating rather than assuming. Eye protection for you and anyone nearby, because air drives grit and metal fragments at speed. Never point one at a person — air forced into the body through a cut or an opening causes serious internal injury and has killed workshop staff. Never blow dust off your own clothing. And anything you blow off a part is airborne afterwards, so a mask and ventilation matter for brake dust and machining swarf.

The inlet takes the standard Japanese-type quick couplers used across the Harden air range, so it fits the same hose as the impact wrenches and spray guns.
