Air Blow Gun (110mm)

The short nozzle is about control. It puts the jet exactly where you aim it and does not flex or wander, which suits close work at the bench: clearing swarf off a machined part, dusting a component before assembly, drying after washing, clearing a jet or filter, and blowing water out of panel gaps after a wash. For getting into wheel arches, ducts or radiator cores you want the 300mm version instead — this one is for what is in front of you.

The brass pipe joint at the inlet is the difference between this and the plain 110mm gun, and it addresses the part that actually fails. The inlet thread carries a quick coupler and takes the leverage of a hose dragged across the floor all day. A thread cut into a soft body casting eventually strips or starts to weep, and a weeping blow gun leaks compressed air continuously — which means the compressor runs more, wears faster and costs electricity for nothing. Brass holds a thread far better, seals properly against a steel coupler, and does not corrode where moisture from the air line settles.

For occasional use the plain version is perfectly adequate. For a gun that gets picked up fifty times a day, this is the one that lasts.

The tube is cast stainless steel, which resists internal rusting from the water compressed air carries — a rusting tube eventually blows that rust onto whatever you are cleaning. The handle is built for mechanical strength.

Compressed air safety, stated plainly: eye protection for you and for anyone nearby, since air drives grit and metal at speed. Never point one at a person — air forced into the body through a cut or an opening causes severe internal injury and has caused deaths. Never blow dust off clothing. And whatever comes off the part is now airborne, so mask and ventilate for brake dust and swarf.

The inlet takes the standard Japanese-type quick couplers used throughout the Harden air range.
