That matters because of what a holder does. It takes the full torque of the driver at one end and transmits it to a small hex bit at the other, and it does that thousands of times a day with cam-out shocks going back up it. Holders assembled from parts have a joint in that path; a one-piece forged holder does not. Forging also flows the grain of the steel along the shape rather than cutting through it, which is what stops the hex socket end splitting — the highest-stressed part of any holder.

And the wear point on any holder is the hex socket. Bits are hard, the socket is softer, and over time the socket's corners round out — after which bits sit loose, wobble, and start camming out of screws for reasons that look like a bit problem.
