That is worth taking seriously with Torx more than with any other drive, because Torx sizes are absolute. A T25 in a T27 recess has real free play and will spin and round the points; a T30 will not go in at all. Unlike a slotted screw, where a slightly narrow blade still turns it, or a cross-head where the wrong size will at least engage, a Torx screw either has its own bit or it has nothing. The awkward in-between sizes are therefore worth owning before you need them, not after.

Two habits. Seat the bit fully before applying power, because a partly engaged Torx bit bears on the tips of its points.
