A Torx recess grips through six points, and on a T10 those points are very small indeed. They carry the whole load, and they are the first thing to fail — not by breaking, usually, but by rounding. A T10 bit whose points have rounded slips in a recess that a fresh one turns easily, and because it slips it then rounds the screw as well. On the small electronics and instrument screws T10 is used for, that means a fastener you cannot remove at all, in a component where drilling is not an option.

So the practical advice at this size is to use a hand driver or a low-torque setting rather than an impact driver where you can, and to replace bits early rather than late.
