Suction Spray Gun

The 1000ml cup is nearly double the gravity gun's 600ml, and on a large job that is the difference between spraying continuously and stopping to refill. Spraying a whole vehicle panel by panel, a set of gates, a run of grilles or a batch of furniture goes far better without a break in the middle of a wet edge, because that is exactly where the visible join appears.

The cup underneath also keeps the top of the gun clear, which makes it easier to see what you are spraying and to work in a confined space where a tall cup would foul.

The trade-offs are real and worth knowing. Suction feed needs more pressure than gravity to lift the paint — 50psi here against 43psi for the gravity gun — so there is a little more overspray. And because the pickup tube reaches down into the cup, you cannot spray the last of the paint; a small amount always stays behind, which matters when the colour was expensive to mix. Fluid delivery is 130-210ml/min, slightly lower than the gravity gun's, again because the system is lifting rather than dropping.

The 1.5mm nozzle is the general-purpose size, suiting topcoats, enamels, lacquers and thinned finishes. For heavy primer, go to the 1.8mm conventional gun.

Air consumption is 3-8 CFM at 50psi (3.5kg/cm²). Check that against your compressor before buying: a gun that wants more air than the compressor delivers will spray well briefly and then fade as tank pressure falls, and people blame the gun for what is a compressor problem. At 3-8 CFM this is one of the less demanding guns in the range.

Weight is 0.6kg, air inlet 1/4" to match the standard Japanese-type couplers here.
