A gravity feed gun carries its paint in a cup on top, and that one arrangement decides most of what the gun is good at.
Gravity does the feeding, so the gun needs less air pressure to pull paint through — this one works at 43psi against 50 or 71psi for the guns beside it in the range. Lower pressure means less overspray, less bounce-back off the panel, and less paint turned into mist that lands on everything except the job. It also means almost the entire cup gets used: with the pickup at the bottom, there is no tube reaching down into a pool that never empties, so you can spray the last few millilitres of an expensive mixed colour.
It is the lightest gun here at 0.53kg, which matters over a long session held at arm's length, and the 600ml cup is sized to match the way most people work — mix what you need for a panel rather than filling a litre pot.
The 1.5mm nozzle is the general-purpose size. It handles topcoats, enamels, lacquers, basecoats and most thinned finishes well. For heavy primer or filler you want the larger 1.8mm nozzle on the conventional gun; for the finest finish work a smaller nozzle is better.
Air consumption is 3-8 CFM at a working pressure of 43psi (3kg/cm²), and this is the number to check before you buy anything. A gun that needs more air than your compressor makes will spray beautifully for thirty seconds and then fade as the tank drops — the most common complaint about spray guns, and almost always the compressor rather than the gun. 3-8 CFM is modest, which makes this gun usable on a smaller compressor than the HVLP gun needs.
The air inlet is 1/4", matching the standard Japanese-type couplers in this range.
The buyers are vehicle body shops and refinishers, furniture and joinery finishers, sign and display makers, and general maintenance painting. It is also the gun to recommend to someone spraying for the first time, because the low pressure is forgiving and the light weight makes control easier.
Strain your paint before it goes in the cup, and clean the gun immediately after use — dried paint in a nozzle is what kills spray guns. Ask on WhatsApp and we will price it with hose and couplers, delivered island-wide.
