Double Ring Spanner (12x13)

These two sizes turn up together constantly on vehicles, motorcycles, machinery, brackets and general fixings, often on the same assembly and frequently within a few centimetres of each other. Having both on one spanner means a job that would otherwise involve picking up and putting down two tools becomes one tool turned end for end. On a bench that saves a moment. Underneath a vehicle, up a ladder, or inside a machine with one hand holding something, it saves considerably more than a moment, because the alternative is getting out, finding the other spanner, and getting back in.

That is worth stating plainly, because the value of a double ended spanner is almost entirely about where you are when you use it. In a workshop with everything laid out, it matters little. In the awkward positions where real work happens, it matters a great deal.
