Adjustable Spray Nozzle

The two ends of the adjustment do genuinely different jobs. A fine mist waters seedlings, cuttings and potted plants without washing the soil out of the pot or flattening young growth — the thing an open hose does immediately. A concentrated jet has the force to strip mud off a vehicle's wheel arches, clear a path, wash down a yard or reach the top of something you cannot get close to. Between the two lies everything else: a soft shower for established beds, a moderate spray for washing panels without driving grit into the paint.

Adjusting is done by turning the head, so you can change pattern one-handed while you are working rather than putting the hose down.

The body is ABS — light, and it does not corrode. A metal nozzle left connected outdoors seizes at the thread eventually; plastic does not, and it survives being dropped on concrete, which is how most nozzles die.

It fits the standard 1/2" push-fit hose system, so it works with the quick connectors and tap adaptors in the Harden watering range. If you are starting from scratch you will need a tap adaptor and connectors as well, and the 4-piece nozzle set bundles those with a nozzle.

A practical note on getting the most from it: water pressure at the nozzle depends on the hose as much as the tap. A long, thin or kinked hose will not deliver a proper jet no matter how you set the head. If the jet is weak, check the run before blaming the nozzle.

The regular buyers are households and gardeners, but it sells just as steadily to nurseries and plant growers, car washes and vehicle valeting, hotels and offices maintaining grounds, and livestock and poultry operations washing down. Hardware shops stock them as a fast-moving line — a nozzle is something people replace rather than repair.
